A blog dedicated to the travels and photos of M Lucky Moose. My mom's stuffed animal who has
been liberated from the comforts of her home and is now on his way to travel the world.
A trip that could take at least a year....

A moose at Walt Disney Family Museum? Does the M in ILM stand for Moose?

Moose visited the Walt Disney Family Museum on April 30th.  He apparently met and spent the day this group of fine people in San Francisco and saw the Mary Blair exhibit as well as the Marc Davis exhibit.  Moose is a big fan of animation so it was a real treat to be able to get away for something like this.
New friends! There was Krista, Dyllan, Sirena, and Katie, what nice people they were.
Moose sneaks in in a backpack, he's slippery like that.
Moose enjoys the many Oscars the Walt Disney Company has won.
He even made a quick walk to the Yoda Fountain in front of ILM in the Presidio in San Francisco. Do. Or do not...there is a Moose.
Moose was all a gush when he got to meet two folks he has idolized since he was but a calf. Boba Fett and Darth Vader! You can tell he really looks up to these guys. He's ready to make the jump to the next adventure.

Moose Visits the Grand Canyon

M Lucky, who everyone has taken to calling, simply, "Moose" and his nefarious travels hit a delay of the economical sort.  Who knew it would cost so much to send a moose abroad? Yeesh!  But he is back on a modified schedule and took a trip to the Grand Canyon! Moose loved the weather and the views.  He ended up in quite a few "selfies".
Here, Moose is seen enjoying the ride from the vantage point of the dashboard.
Rattlesnakes? Tread lightly Moose.

Moose finds a Joshua Tree, it's hot in the desert.
Moose makes a stop along Route 66 at a Discoteca for some "moose"-ica and for some refreshment, namely a Neapolitan milkshake (he loves those).
Moose enters Arizona for the first time!
Moose makes a friend when he arrives at Trailer Village, Grand Canyon. She went by Snow...he just got lost in her eyes. She said she likes apples, too. Bonus!
Moose and a butte. A nice Butte.
So clear up here at 7000 feet.
Almost like being home, if it were colder...and farther North...and there wasn't such a deep hole.
Moose loved the Tower but had a hard time climbing those stairs.
He loved the ruins, there was grass to munch on...until a Ranger told him not to eat part of a National Park.
Really loving the views and the clear blue sky here.
 Moose makin' bacon!

Even a chance to buy some souvenirs.  Moose had a great time in the Grand Canyon!  He can't wait for his next adventure.

Prepation for a long journey...

M Lucky will be starting his journey from San Jose, CA. and here are some photos of some places around town you may recognize.  M Lucky isn't very large so you will need to look carefully for him in some photos.

Though he is 18" long, his big awkward snout is, well, big and awkward so holding him close to the lens may obscure the thing you're trying to photograph.
I would be remiss not to include the San Jose Sharks. I would have included the HP Pavilion (the Tank) but my kids were running out of enthusiasm for this project and we opted for a one of these well known signs instead.

San Jose State University, my Alma Mater and now where I teach animation.
Speaking if teaching animation, here is M. Lucky in front of the world renown Shrunkenhead Man flag, a symbol of Animation/Illustration's animation, illustration, concept design, modeling and all things vis dev club.
No stay in San Jose would be complete without a tour through the Winchester Mystery House.

Get ready M. Lucky, you are on your way.  Where will he end up next?

BTW, note the above postcard sent to me from my dad, he may be on to us.  Have to get the moose out of state...

Count down begins.

Here is the first post in what hopefully will be a long series that will chronicle M Lucky's progress.  I am receiving the cooperation of many who are interested in helping the moose keep moving.  I need to schedule dates, times and announcements for arrivals and departures as well as get a sturdy box. So far, it looks like M Lucky will be heading of to Westbank BC, Rio, Halfway OR, NY, New Mexico and lots of other places. I'm excited and he is too. Quietly excited. As quietly excited as a stuffed animal can be about being stuffed in a box and mailed. Stay tuned for more updates. Oh and internet, keep this quiet-it's a surprise for my mom.
